Over the past several years I've experienced increasing balance problems including falling. What started with urological symptoms expanded to include neurological causes. A urologist encouraged me to investigate. When my condition is bad, speech and handwriting become erratic and sloppy. Several neurologists have examined me, and I've had MRIs, EEG and VER tests without conclusive results. One recent doctor mentioned cerebellar ataxia, but an expensive DNA test is called for and is delayed by my having a lengthy hospital stay this summer. I would love to see one of the experts at Keck and perhaps find out what's going on.
